For over 80 years, Morris Industries has built simple, practical equipment that farmers require. That legacy continues with the Maxim II Air Drill. Based on the features of our single pass Maxim Air Drill, the Maxim II raises the bar on accuracy, dependability and durability.

With the Maxim II Air Drill you can seed, fertilize and pack in one pass, saving time, fuel and labor. Dual gauge wheels walk right over clumps and uneven ground for even greater accuracy of seed and fertilizer placement. The new, heavy-duty one-inch shank offers increased durability and superior product separation with Morris' dual shoot openers. With the new Morris Angle Disc Fertilizer coulter you can apply higher rates of liquid, dry or anhydrous fertilizer in a single pass.

Flexibility
No other system has the flexibility of the Maxim II Air Drill. A patented frame coupling system assures the ultimate in contourability, with individual frames attached to the tow bar by a single universal ball joint.

Benefit: Unsurpassed seed and fertilizer placement on rolling land. All seeds at the same depth leads to more uniform germination and more uniform maturity at harvest.

Rear Stabilizers
Rear stabilizers ensure proper tracking in working position for fully flexible front-to-back and side-to-side contouring.

Benefit: Increased flexibility ensures accurate seed placement.

Leveling Harrows
Two bar straight tine leveling harrows are available for Maxim Air Drills with 25.4 cm (10 inch) spacing.

Benefit: Combined with tillage tools, leveling harrows eliminate the need to pre-work fields for weed kill prior to seeding.

Benefit: Provides a smoother field finish.

Working Width Base Sizes
Three-frame models are available from 8.84 m (29 ft) to 11.9 m (39 ft) and five-frame models are available from 14.94 m (49 ft) to 18.29 m (60 ft).

Benefit: Morris has the size and spacing option to fit virtually any size farm.

Depth Control
A simple, adjustable collar depth stop ensures the hydraulic depth cylinders won’t “creep”. Once set, consistent depth is locked in across the width of the machine.

Benefit: Mechanical depth stops ensure precise and uniform product placement.

Transport
In-frame transport wheels retract above the frame in working position. The Maxim II features excellent clearance for traveling on crowned roads.

Benefit: Greatly reduces the load on the front gauge wheels.

Benefit: No tire tracks within the frame for consistent seed depth across entire width.

Rock Deflectors
Maximize your drill’s life with a solid rock deflector attachment.

Benefit: Prevents rock intervention and damage to the packer wheels.

maxii_trip.jpg
Tried and True Trip
The Maxim II features a 181 Kg (400 lb) Spring Cushion Trip. Only a Morris trip reduces pressure as it lifts higher minimizing stress on shanks, trip components and the frame. Choose a 2.54 cm (1 inch) traditional “C” shank or “Edge-on” shank for optimum trash clearance. The Morris Spring Cushion Trip has proven its effectiveness and reliability over millions of acres.

Benefit: Growers can choose the option that best fits their needs.
