Morris Industries has created the ultimate system for producers in no-till operations. Other disc systems can press straw into the furrow. Seed then ends up with the straw, which wicks away moisture and prevents germination or slows growth.

The patented Morris Never Pin No-Till Disc Drill cuts right through trash to create a clean furrow for seed placement. A solid cast closing wheel ensures firm, immediate seed-to-soil contact for quick germination and even emergence. Morris' Angle Disc Fertilizer Coulters are adjustable to precisely place fertilizer where you want it.

Soil Penetration
By installing the Never Pin assembly in front of the frame, the assembly is "pushed" using the draft of the coulter to help penetrate soil.

Benefit: Better penetration for more consistent seed depth and even germination.

Closing Wheel
The solid cast 30.5 cm (12 inch) closing wheel grabs moist soil and packs the seed and soil into the undisturbed side of the furrow.

Benefit: Good seed to soil aids quick germination and even emergence.

Benefit: Squeezing out the air reduces soil moisture loss.

Base Sizes

Three-frame models are available in base sizes of 8.53 m (28 ft), 10.36 m (34 ft) and 12.19 m (40 ft).

Benefit: Morris has the size and spacing option to fit virtually any size farm adopting no-till.

Seed Boot
Scraper/Seed Boot design has a natural air break that places seed at the bottom of the furrow. The vertical opening is protected, reducing air pressure and preventing seed from being blown out.

Benefit: Ensures consistent seed depth placing the seed precisely where you have set it to for even emergence.

Parallel Linkage
Parallel links ensure the seed opener remains in a constant position relative to the ground. Each opener is free to move independently of each other and the frame.

Benefit: Openers remain at a constant depth as they contour over uneven ground.

Benefit: Extremely accurate seed placement.

Depth Control
Pincher Wheels and a Soil Retaining Wheel provide accurate depth control. Adjustments are made with easy, maintenance free, rod-ratchet assemblies.

Benefit: Very accurate depth control.

Angle Disc Fertilizer Coulter
This angle disc coulter is available on machines with 25.4 cm (10 inch) spacing, providing optimum center placing of anhydrous or other fertilizers. The coulter can be adjusted to place fertilizer up to 13 cm (5 inches) deep.

Benefit: Allows the grower to put down larger amounts of fertilizer without damage to the seed.

Benefit: Can be used to center place or side band your fertilizer in double shoot operations.

Patented Pincher Wheels
Patented Never Pin Pincher Wheels on the seed opener holds straw tight, allowing the 50.8 cm (20 inch) diameter coulter to cut right through without trapping trash in the furrow.

Benefit:
Better soil to seed contact for quicker, even germination.

Benefit: Less residue in the furrow conserving soil moisture.

Row Spacing
Opener spacing options are 19 cm (7 1/2 in) and 25.4 cm (10 in).

Benefit: Opener spacing and opener choices allows no-till growers an ideal fit to their cropping practices.
