Morris Industries understands the importance of consistent seed depth for even germination and uniform, early maturity. That's why we make air seeding systems designed for contourability and accurate depth control.

The Concept 2000 handles sharp knolls, hills and draws with unsurpassed flexibility. With patented, independent floating frames and one of the shortest contour lengths in the industry, the Concept 2000 adjusts to and follows the contours of the land. Positive depth control collars on the hydraulic cylinders allow you to make fine adjustments for precise seed placement. You can also trust the Concept 2000 for ideal trash handling in any tillage operation.

Flexibility
Independent wing sections, with a tricycle suspension and patented frame coupling, assure flexibility while easing the stress on the frame member joints.

Benefit: Unsurpassed seed and fertilizer placement on rolling land. All seeds at the same depth leads to more uniform germination and more uniform maturity at harvest.

Depth Control
Make fine, positive depth adjustments by turning the collars of the hydraulic depth control cylinders on each frame. In non-seeding applications, single point hydraulic settings can be used. Easy-access to central hydraulic depth control setting.

Benefit: Mechanical depth stops ensure precise and uniform product placement.

concept-trip.jpg

Trip Option
The Concept 2000 features a 755 LH 340 kg (750 lb) trip or a 181 Kg (400 lb) spring cushion trip. Only a Morris trip reduces pressure as it lifts higher minimizing stress on shanks, trip components and the frame. The Morris Spring Cushion trip has proven its effectiveness and reliability over millions of acres. The 750 LH trip assembly accepts 50 degree tillage tools. The 400lb trip assembly accommodates 47 degree tillage tools.

Benefit: Growers can choose the option that best fits their needs.

Benefit: 755LH trip is maintenance free and requires no greasing.

reduced-stress.jpg

Reduced Stress
Durable, maintenance-free walking beam axles have unique lifting links that raise one wheel while turning.

Benefit: Reduces component stress and prevent field gouging when turning on headlands.

Benefit: Smoother ride for uniform seeding depth.

transport.jpg
Transport
Hydraulic controls and automatic locking mechanisms allow the unit to fold easily and safely for transport. Weight is transferred to the front of the machine for greater stability even with optional mounted harrows or packers.

Benefit: Faster road and field to field transport for greater productivity.
Benefit: 30 cm (12 inch) sweep to ground clearance makes it easier to travel over high-crowned roads.

concept-spacing.jpg

Row Spacing
Opener spacing options are 22.8 cm (9 in), 25.4 cm (10 in) or 30.5 cm (12 in).

Benefit: Opener spacing and opener choices allow growers an ideal fit to their cropping practices and residue management.

Depth Stop
Make fine, positive depth adjustments by turning the collars of the hydraulic depth control cylinders on each frame. In non-seeding applications, single point hydraulic settings can be used.

concept-harrows.jpg
Mounted Harrows
Numerous harrow configurations allow you to make the best choice for soil conditions in your area. The Universal Arm features a single pin connector to make mounting either harrows or packers simple and quick.

Benefit: Combined with tillage tools, leveling harrows eliminate the need to pre-work fields for weed kill prior to seeding.

Benefit: Provides a smoother field finish.

concept-base-size.jpg

Working Width Base Sizes
Three-frame models are available in base sizes of 7.9 m (26 ft) to 11.6 m (38 ft) for 7.9 – 12.8 m (26 - 42 feet) of working width and five-frame models are available in base sizes of 13.4 m (44 ft) and 17.1 m (56 ft) for 13.4 – 18.3 m (44 ft – 60ft) of working width.

Benefit: Morris has the size and spacing option to fit virtually any size farm.

trash.jpg
Trash Clearance
The space between rows, front to back, gradually widens, reaching 40" between the last two rows. This unique design feature provides excellent trash clearance.

Benefit: Consistent seed depth for uniform emergence.
Benefit: Smoother flow of trash ensures a better field finish.

concept-packers.jpg
Packers
Mounted Packers are a cost effective way to ensure good seed to soil contact. Contourability is enhanced with sections of packer gangs no wider than five feet. Universal arm accommodates harrows or packers by simply removing a single pin.

Benefit: Quicker crop emergence and even germination.
